The Organization of Jews in Bulgaria “Shalom” is a non-profitable organization that is structured and operates under the rules of its Statute. The Organization brings together all the Regional organizations of Jews in Bulgaria “Shalom” in 16 cities across the country, providing their representatives with the right to participate in the Board of the organization – the Consistoire, responsible for the administration of the organization. The Consistoire consists of 33 representatives, elected for the period of 4 years, headed by a Chairman, who presides over the Executive Board of the organization as well. The Chairman has representative functions and manages the general activity of the organizations. The Supreme organ of the organization is a General Assembly – the Conference, and the financial aspects of its activities are controlled by an Audit Commission.
